Blind Relief

Applicants may qualify for an exemption of up to $11,500 of the assessed value of real and personal property.

1. Be a U.S. citizen or qualified resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. Section. 1641.

2. First-time applicants must submit an ophthalmologist's statement confirming that their better eye has either corrected vision of 20/200 or worse or a visual field limited to 20 degrees or less.

3. Submit an application to the Salt Lake County Treasurer by September 1st, unless the deadline is extended.

Please provide the following documents with your application:

2. If you are a qualified resident lawfully present in the United States, provide your Alien Registration Number and copies of your immigration documents.
