Help Us Help Them!

There are many ways to get involved at Salt Lake County Animal Services. We treat every animal in our shelter as an individual.

Some pets stay with us for a short amount of time before they are adopted, while some stay a while longer.

You can work directly with our animals or do other things that do not require any animal interaction. Let's find the best way for you to help us help them!

Can’t Adopt? Foster!

Fosters provide a temporary home to dogs and cats for a variety of reasons. Foster care can be necessary for dogs who need help with manners, animals with medical needs, unweaned kittens, and more.
