Data Governance Working Group

Overview

The Data Governance Working Group is responsible for advising the Technology Advisory Board (TAB) and GIS Steering Committee on strategic guidance and implementation of the data governance program, prioritization for the data governance projects and initiatives, approval of organization-wide data policies and standards, as well as enabling ongoing support, understanding and awareness of the data governance program. The Group is also responsible for providing training and guidance to the County Data Coordinators.

Membership

The Data Governance Working Group is staffed by the Office of Data & Innovation. The members include representatives from;

• Council
• Mayor’s portfolio
• Elected Offices
• Subject matter experts from Information Technology, Contracts & Procurement, Records Management and Archives, and Risk Management.
